Hi ! I have a VIA system that has been running for a year or so on Gentoo as a Myth Frontend. Everything has been ok except for problems playing dvd's, so I decided to upgrade. I am now running the latest and greatest from Gentoo including Alsa 1.0.16-rc2. My problem after the upgrade is that mythfrontend is chrashing when writing to the audio device, which is a USB audiodevice from Logitech. Used to work just fine before the upgrade. I have tried both kernels 2.6.24 and 2.6.25 which now is running with the same result. Here are my logs : --- messages ---- Jul 18 18:52:46 frontend kernel: 2:1:1: cannot get freq at ep 0x1 Jul 18 18:52:46 frontend kernel: mythfrontend[5476]: segfault at a73cd000 ip b685640c sp a7390ad4 error 7 in libasound.so. 2.0.0[b67f4000+8d000] --- --- Mythfronend --- 2008-07-18 18:52:46.019 Opening audio device 'default'. ch 2(2) sr 48000 2008-07-18 18:52:46.019 Opening ALSA audio device 'default'. 2008-07-18 18:52:46.084 Mixer unable to find control Master 2008-07-18 18:52:46.085 Mixer unable to find control Master 2008-07-18 18:52:46.087 Mixer unable to find control PCM 1 2008-07-18 18:52:46.087 mixer unable to find control PCM 1 Segmentation fault --- Some info about my system : http://pastebin.ca/1075639 I hope that someone can help me as I really have spent *a long time* on this one...
