I don't know debian, and my distro no longer uses 
alsaconf, but you can look in /etc for asound.state and 
asound.conf.  As far as I know they aren't necessary, 
and will be created the first run if they aren't there 
and are necessary.  If you are copying /etc and /usr 
over completely, you should be fine.

Nothing else should be needed.  Perhaps someone else 
with direct knowledge will reply.
