usb audio sound cards -- do they work with linux?

Its REALLY hard to determine whether linux works with these popular USB 
sound cards.
Griffin iMic (sound card)

Griffin isn't listed as a company with sound cards: so it seems that 
counts out the iMic (sound card).

For most usb audio devices, you'd think that they'd comply with this 
"USB audio class specification".  But its REALLY hard to determine.
