I already test with alsamixer and aplay and nothing happen. The value
are taken without any error.
For example amixer sset PCM off works but I still hear sound.

I have an onboard soundcard, but there nothing connected on it.
And when I said it wasn't worked anymore, I was meaning the same
configuration was working with 2.6.23 (and may be 2.6.24).
If I connect the hp to the onboard soundcard and use the onboard
soundcard mixer, the mixer works
For me a modification broke in new kernel broke something in CT4670
