Hello, I'm using an SPDIF connection from my hda_intel soundcard (ich9) to a Yamaha rxv1800 receiver. However, when playing a file, the first few samples are missing so in a text-to-speech application, it often misses the first word. Is there any way in the plugin interfaces to have alsa either play a bit of silence before the stream or perhapse always be sending 0 samples out the port so that it's always alive?
