HDA - ALC883 CD input very low volume

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi guys,

I have my internal capture card connected to the CD input of my
onboard ALC883 sound card but the volume is very very low even if at
100%, the mute switch works fine. What's strange is that if I use
something like "arecord -f cd | aplay -f cd" then I get sound but I
also get some ugly hissing noise. Do you have any idea what it might
be?

I'm using the latest alsa-drivers hg tarball: alsa-driver-hg20080315

lspci for the codec:
00:07.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP65 High Definition Audio (rev a1)

and for /proc/asound/card0/codec#0
