Hi guys, I have my internal capture card connected to the CD input of my onboard ALC883 sound card but the volume is very very low even if at 100%, the mute switch works fine. What's strange is that if I use something like "arecord -f cd | aplay -f cd" then I get sound but I also get some ugly hissing noise. Do you have any idea what it might be? I'm using the latest alsa-drivers hg tarball: alsa-driver-hg20080315 lspci for the codec: 00:07.0 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP65 High Definition Audio (rev a1) and for /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 Codec: Realtek ALC888 Address: 0 Vendor Id: 0x10ec0888 Subsystem Id: 0x14627369 Revision Id: 0x100001 No Modem Function Group found Default PCM: rates [0x560]: 44100 48000 96000 192000 bits [0xe]: 16 20 24 formats [0x1]: PCM ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
