Hi,
after crawling through many web pages which might point to a solution my
last chance maybe this maillist.
I have a Thinkpad R60 with an ICH7 HDAudio controller:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)
I have Debian testing running and so I use the current alsa-1.0.16
package. Playback works fine but recording does not work.
I tried to build the modules again. Than I tried some other options in
/etc/modprobe.d/sound:
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
#options snd-hda-intel index=0 position_fix=1 model=thinkpad enable_msi=1
options snd-hda-intel index=0 position_fix=1 model=thinkpad
I added the output of amixer to this email as attachment.
When I try to record some pieces of audio from the mic with audacity I
always get an error message for opening the audio device. Recording with
sox (aka rec) seems to work - but playing the recorded sounds gives no
output on the speakers.
Does anyone know this problem? Or have you some hints what I am doing
wrong?
