To use your second card, you have to specifify the device somewhere. If you 
want just the hardware abilities, just use the "hw:1" device instead of 
"default:1" or whatever you are using now.

(your "default" PCM is defined in $PREFIX/share/alsa/cards/ICE1712.conf)
