Audigy SE (ca0106) digital and analog output at the same time?

HI!

I have a new Audigy SE and it is basically working out of the box.

Problem is: I have connected a TV to the analog output (line 1) and an
amplifier (coax digital) to the combined input/output.

This constellation was working OK with my old Soundblaster 5.1.

Now, I have either analog OR digital, depending on the IEC958 switch in
alsamixer.

Can I somehow have both again?

I have already searched around a while, but did not find a clue. I also
have tried various .asoundrc files.

I am using Gentoo, kernel 2.6.23, kernel Alsa modules.

Also, I do not have the PCM and master controls and I have software,
that complains about that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thomas
