When I updated my kernel from 2.6.23 to 2.6.24 digital audio output stopped working. Anyone know what could be causing it? Something must have changed in ALSA 1.0.15, but what? In 2.6.23 and earlier kernels I could switch between analog and digital output by muting or unmuting the "IEC958 Optical Raw" channel. In 2.6.24 that switch doesn't seem to do anything. If I unmute the "Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack" channel I get analog audio, but muting it doesn't give me sound through the digital speakers.
