[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

We have a Dell Latitude D520, using Ubuntu Gutsy and we updated Alsa to
1.0.15.

We have a problem: arecord hangs and writes 44 bytes. Using strace we
see that arecord hangs here:
---------
unlink("b.wav") = 0
open("b.wav", O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_LARGEFILE, 0644) = 6
write(6, "RIFF$\0\0\200WAVE", 12) = 12
write(6, "fmt \20\0\0\0", 8) = 8
write(6, "\1\0\2\0\200\273\0\0\0\356\2\0\4\0\20\0", 16) = 16
write(6, "data\0\0\0\200", 8) = 8
ioctl(4, 0x4122, 0xb7f5be73) = 0
ioctl(3, 0x54a0, 0xb7e78000) = 0
gettimeofday({1199095909, 278143}, NULL) = 0
ioctl(4, 0x4122, 0xbfd78370) = 0

In poll. I tried to boot the kernel with noacpi (same result) and
with pci=noacpi (kernel hangs when loading).
