Hello,

 ./configure && make results in:

Hacking autoconf.h...

alsamixer says after installing all alsa-lib, utils, firmware, etc even after
modprobe and creating a file called modprobe.conf and update-modules
alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for default: No such device
and amixer says:
 amixer -i
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such device

I desperately need your help.

I use kubuntu7.10 on a ACER extensa 5220 with onboard sound hda-intel
icm8-family
I startet with Sound only from the notebook speaker. I checked the external
speakers and they even produce sound during the bios-boot, so they are not
disfunctional and the front-output is functional too.

Emma
