Hi list, I've been having problems with the onboard SPDIF output using an AD1988B. Bearing in mind my only real requirement is an optical SPDIF output, can anyone suggest what the best-supported PCI / PCI-E cards are, under ALSA? I would really like something that 'just works'. A lot of people in the windows world have been raving about the C- Media Oxygen 8788 based cards (BlueGears b-enspirer, Asus Xonar D2, AuzenTech X-Meridian, HT Omega Claro, Razer Barracuda AC1, etc) but the sparse information I've found on ALSA's snd-oxygen doesn't give me much confidence.
