Capture output of the sound card

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
I am trying to capture the output of my soundcard and put it into a wav
file. I followed this tutorial :

http://carthick.wordpress.com/2007/11/26/linux-recording-soundcard-output-using-arecord/

However, I got stuck because my "amixer contents" does not have a
iface=MIXER,name='Capture Source' entry and I therefore am not able to
record the sound card output. I am not sure why i do not see this
option. Do I need to recompile ALSA? Is this option not supported for my
sound card?

My sound card is Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio
Controller (rev 02). The full pastebin is here:

Thank you for your help.
