Hello, I am trying to capture the output of my soundcard and put it into a wav file. I followed this tutorial : http://carthick.wordpress.com/2007/11/26/linux-recording-soundcard-output-using-arecord/ However, I got stuck because my "amixer contents" does not have a iface=MIXER,name='Capture Source' entry and I therefore am not able to record the sound card output. I am not sure why i do not see this option. Do I need to recompile ALSA? Is this option not supported for my sound card? My sound card is Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 02).
