usb audio - help with asoundrc

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I have a multiseat box with 3 heads and 3 sound cards.

One is on board:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High
Definition Audio Controller (rev 01)

two are usb:

Bus 004 Device 002: ID 0d8c:0001 C-Media Electronics, Inc.
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0d8c:0001 C-Media Electronics, Inc.

asoundconf claims it doesn't see any, although the modules are installed....

athena:/proc/bus/usb# asoundconf list
Names of available sound cards:
athena:/proc/bus/usb#

alsamixer sees each card, though.

Currently, pcm0 is the intel card, and pcm1 and 2 are the usb cards.
However, due to the vagaries of udev, that's subject to change on the
next boot.

Can anyone provide some suggestions for using a specific USB sound card?

Thanks,

--Yan
