I'm still trying to get my system working with the Layla24 from echoaudio. I have the firmware properly installed and configured in the /lib/firmware directory I have added the line options snd-layla24 index=0 to my /etc/modprobe.d After trolling many boards and forums I found this post http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-229778.html -- suggesting recompiling part of the firmware and installing hotplug scripts, Is this something i should consider? Alternatively I could compile everything from source and start again with the newest ALSA?
