Hi there,

i'm having slight problems getting the alsa-jack plugin to work.

Here's my .asoundrc:

pcm.!default {

        type hw
        card 0
}

ctl.!default {

        type hw
        card 0
}

pcm.jack {
        type jack
        playback_ports {
        0 alsa_pcm:playback_1
        1 alsa_pcm:playback_2
        }
        capture_ports {
        0 alsa_pcm:capture_1
        1 alsa_pcm:capture_2
        }
}

pcm.plug_jack {
        type plug
        slave { pcm "jack" }
}

When trying to 'aplay -Djack somefile.wav" or 'aplay -Dplug_jack' i get
the following error:

JACK tmpdir identified as [/dev/shm]
Playing WAVE 'somefile.wav'
aplay: set_params:900: Sample format non available

here's some specs:

cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [DSP            ]: H-DSP - Hammerfall DSP
                      RME Hammerfall DSP + Multiface at 0xff6f0000, irq 22
 1 [ReMOTE25       ]: USB-Audio - ReMOTE25
                      Novation ReMOTE25 at usb-0000:00:1d.0-1, full speed

(I'm using the Hammerfall DSP card, the Remote25 is a midi keyboard)

cat /proc/asound/version
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.14 (Thu May 31
09:03:25 2007 UTC).

jackd --version
jackd version 0.103.0 tmpdir /dev/shm protocol 16

Anyone knows what i'm doing wrong here ?

Thanks for your help!
