My request for help appears to have been blocked.

Not sure why this is. I'll try again.

Hi,

I'm having a bit of difficulty setting up Alsa on my gentoo AMD64 shuttle.

When I run alsaconf I get:

ERROR: Failed to load necessary drivers
FATAL: Module off not found.

What it looks like is a configuration file has become corrupted with a name/value pair possibly split onto different lines.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Many thanks,

Dave Coventry
