Hello! I'm struggling with playback sample rate from echo indigo IO card. If i try to just send wav file sampled at 44.1KHz to hardware destination like: aplay -D hw:1,0 badboys.wav Playing WAVE 'badboys.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo it plays roughly two times slower then it should. If i configure the hardware rate to be 48KHz like this pcm.indigo { type hw card 1 rate 48000 } and send the same file to it like: aplay -D "indigo" badboys.wav Playing WAVE 'badboys.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo Warning: rate is not accurate (requested = 44100Hz, got = 48000Hz) please, try the plug plugin (-Dplug:indigo) it plays nicely, just with the correct sample rate. If i then do as was asked and send to hardware alias with fixed rate via plug, like: aplay -D "plug:indigo" badboys.wav Playing WAVE 'badboys.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo it plays a little slower than it should. If i check the ratio of time the song is played to that it should i get the same ratio as of 48/44.1 I checked with onboard audio card (Intel 82801G ICH7) and with Terratec Aureon USB: both play back with correct rates out of the box. I'm running Ubuntu 6.10, kernel 2.6.17-10, alsa 1.0.12rc1 (it's 1.0.11-5 in terms of ubuntu), alsa-firmware 1.0.11 Could please somebody help me or give directions for further search? -- Regards, Andrei Zaparii ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
