I am using PClinuxOS 2007 which has libalsa2-1.0.14 and kernel-2.6.18.6 installed. The card is detected as an ice1724 but the mixer controls are weird and nothing actually I do actually produces any sound. I see on this page a list of mixer control elements for the Audiophile 192... http://alsa.opensrc.org/Ice1724#M-Audio_Delta_Audiophile_192 They are not the same as what I get when query the controls using amixer (see output below). Do I somehow need to change the "Mixer Control Elelements" to get this card to work or am I on a wild-goose chase here? If so then how and where to I change it? Thanks & regards, SimonB [simonb@Simon ~]$ amixer -c 1 controls numid=1,iface=CARD,name='ICE1724 EEPROM' numid=6,iface=MIXER,name='IEC958 Playback Route' numid=7,iface=MIXER,name='IEC958 Playback Route',index=1 numid=8,iface=MIXER,name='IEC958 Output Switch' numid=2,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Internal Clock' numid=5,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Peak' numid=3,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Rate Locking' numid=4,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Rate Reset' numid=10,iface=PCM,name='IEC958 Playback Con Mask',device=1 numid=9,iface=PCM,name='IEC958 Playback Default',device=1 numid=11,iface=PCM,name='IEC958 Playback Pro Mask',device=1 Listed on wiki, they should be numid=1,iface=CARD,name='ICE1724 EEPROM' numid=14,iface=MIXER,name='PCM Playback Volume' numid=8,iface=MIXER,name='IEC958 Playback Route' numid=9,iface=MIXER,name='IEC958 Playback Route',index=1 numid=10,iface=MIXER,name='IEC958 Output Switch' numid=15,iface=MIXER,name='Deemphasis' numid=5,iface=MIXER,name='H/W Playback Route' numid=6,iface=MIXER,name='H/W Playback Route',index=1 numid=2,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Internal Clock' numid=7,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Peak' numid=3,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Rate Locking' numid=4,iface=MIXER,name='Multi Track Rate Reset' numid=12,iface=PCM,name='IEC958 Playback Con Mask',device=1 numid=11,iface=PCM,name='IEC958 Playback Default',device=1 numid=13,iface=PCM,name='IEC958 Playback Pro Mask',device=1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
