Hello,
I have much trouble in trying to make my sound card (Intel8x0) work.
After having installed alsa-driver, alsa-lib and alsa-tools, when I add
the module by :
modprobe snd-intel8x0 I get the message :

/lib/modules/2.4.21-4.ELsmp/kernel/sound/pci/snd-intel8x0.o:
init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.21-4.ELsmp/kernel/sound/pci/snd-intel8x0.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.21-4.ELsmp/kernel/sound/pci/snd-intel8x0.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.21-4.ELsmp/kernel/sound/pci/snd-intel8x0.o: insmod
snd-intel8x0 failed

What is the problem and how can I solve it ?
Thank you
Airever
