Re: snd-hda-intel on a Mac Pro: very low volume

Don't know anything about your Mac Pro, but I have had this on another 
motherboard when the front of case audio port wasn't connected.  The 
header on the m/b required two jumpers to be fitted - so check your m/b 
manual!
