Yes, I have a USB webcam with a microphone. The webcam connected at booting
caused that I could not use the Audigy. Currently the webcam is not
connected at all, though.

I tried to set acpi=off, yet the kernel could not probably boot with
that option, saying something about the irqpoll option. So I added
acpi=off and irqpoll and that time the kernel booted.

With acpi turned on:

Recording from hw:1,1 using arecord produced some data but the header,
but printed:

         please, try the plug plugin
