Hi, I have an SBLive! sound card, and I use the emu10k1 module from alsa-driver-1.0.14_rc2_p3234. I've noticed that when I record with my mic, I get playback from my speakers, and that I can't control this feedback. In playback section, I have: Mic Select [Mic1] Line [dB gain=-34.50, -34.50] [Muted] CD [dB gain=-34.50, -34.50] [Muted] Mic [dB gain=-34.50] [Muted] Mic Boost (+20dB) [Off] [Muted] Video [dB gain=-34.50, -34.50] [Muted] Phone [dB gain=-34.50] [Muted] In capture section, I have: Mic [Capture] Capture [dB gain=0.00, 0.00] [Capture] It seems to me that the "Muted Mic" setting in the playback section is not practiced, as I hear my voice through speakers when I shouldn't. And that the "Capture" setting in the capture settings controls both capture of recording (correct) and the playback of the capture (incorrect). Can I have the opinion of other emu10k1 users please. Thanks, Shane PS I also find the volume settings strange.... for example, with the above settings, the capture volume is at 0%, but if I have my Master and PCM plackback volumes at 40%, then I can hear myself echoed through the speakers perfectly... so the capture 0% volume here is not really 0% ! ____________________________________________________________________________________ We won't tell.
