Headphone switch not working

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

G'day mate,

I installed latest ALSA-drivers, but headphone doesn't produce any sound
nor the hadphone switch mutes my speaker. Speakers have sound all the
time. Just nothing happens when I plug in my headphone. (BTW: headphone
switch works under windows).

Unfortunately, I already logged a bug (which I suggest its not)
...overlooked the mailing list (I will have to apologise for that
misshap...). It can be found here: bug number 002768
(https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2768)

My System:
- Laptop computer (Racoon Z75 from littlebit.ch)
- ALC 880 (from Realtek)
- hda-intel driver is used for this card
- Fedora Core 6 (with latest updates from today, kernel 2.6.19)
- isntalled alsa-driver, -utils and -lib, version 1.0.14.rc2
- internal speakers plus 3 outputs: Line, headphone and microphone

What I already did:
- installation of driver as follows: "./configure --with-cards=hda-intel
--with-debug=detect;make;make install"
- "modprobe snd-hda-intel model=XYZ" where XYZ is one of the list from the
"ALSA-Configuration.txt" (like 3stack or asus) => none of them makes my
headphone working.
- always do a alsaconf after modprobe
- alsamixer: always checked that all faders are unmuted and high volume
-

Where my problem is:
- I can't find another way to enable any other options, or whatever, to
install my driver for my soundcard
- I am stucked...just have no more ideas...
-

Thanks for your help!
I attach below some more infos, hope it helps any further...

Regards,
Flex

Strange to me looks following part. Does anybody know, what that means?
speaker_out=0 or hp_out=0? Is this the problem? But how to enable them?:
