the case above, i wanted to test a newer jackd.
since it can be only one jackd existing on the system, it was not 
possible for me to replace only the jackd, but i had to replace 
everything else, what depends on jackd.
lot of audio stuff needs a newer jackd as it is in debian to compile!

the dpkg system is nice and confortable for me up to some point, but 
sometimes it creates some dependencies which i would like to avoid. lets 
say the appi A needs a library B to compile.
but if i want to update the libB, dpkg want to update jackd or alsa!
this two components i would like to update at that time, when i think it 
is a right thing and not when my machine (dpkg) "thinks" it shoul be 
updated.
in debian, it always takes a lot of time, since an appi is implemented, 
and those are (in the audio work) mostly very old versions than.

i also think, that one time setting up alsa "manually", i get a kind of 
knowledge, that i don´t get clicking in synaptic?

are this reasons, you can understand?
