No idea what you are talking about. 
info[root]>rpm -q alsa-plugins
alsa-plugins-1.0.12-1mdv2007.0
on my system.

Also he does not need alsa-plugins to run the card.

The modules are part of the kernel. 
Also, this is hardly a help to the OP, just you venting once again, unless
you really know that alsa-plugins is required to run his card.
