Audiophile USB progress

Thanks to the good people on this list, I was able to get my config file
right and have alsa recognize the two cards on my system. Hence:

bash-3.1# cat /proc/asound/cards
  0 [CS4237B ]: CS4237B - CS4237B
                       CS4237B at 0x530, irq 5, dma 1&0
  1 [tm ]: USB-Audio - Audiophile USB (tm)
M-Audio Audiophile USB (tm) at usb-0000:00:07.2-1,
full speed

Yea!! I cannot, however, get the M-Audio Audiophile to output any sound.
This is the one I really want to use through my stereo system. So far I
have tried:

ogg123 -D alsa -o card:1 somefile.ogg

and I get no sound output. I've tried different options for card:x and
still no luck.

What is my next step to get this card to work? And thanks to those who
have helped thus far.

I'm running Slackware 11.0 with a 2.6.17.13 kernel.
