I'm glad to hear that this works for you...  I'm sorry that my driver 
dev / architecture skills are a bit out of date, but I've found the 
following info on MSI:

It sounds like this is a new spec for handling interrupts that uses 
shared memory.  Presumably this should improve performance and should 
improve flexibility in dealing with systems with a wider variety of 
devices.  It should also allow hardware manufacturers to decrease pin count.

Is this an accurate user-level summary of MSI?
