What behaviour are you experiencing? I would suggest using 1.0.13 of Alsa, and specifying the module parameter disable_msi=1 for the module snd-hda-intel. i.e. You should have a line like: options snd-hda-intel index=0 in /etc/modprobe.conf change it to: options snd-hda-intel index=0 disable_msi=1 PK steef wrote: > hi you all, > > this is the first time i write to this list. > > i work with debian_etch (testing) on a asus am2 machine. compiled and > installed the newest alsa-drivers directly into the kernel; 2-6-17-2-k7 > (debian). but i cannot get the hda-intel (nvidia) soundchip properly > going; neither with the alsa-driver neither with the driver nvidia > provides when i bought the asus motherboard. > > alsamixer shows verything a mixer should show. > > > some help would be highly appreciated. if you need more info (from my > side this is a first probe on this list) : please let me know. > > any help is on advance highly appreciated. > > regards, > > steef > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Using Tomcat but need to do more?
