Pryakhin, This is what I do in my deployment and works without a problem. It is rather straight forward. On FDS. --- * Under user account, enable Posix attribute (if you are doing it via the console) or just add posixaccount objectclass for the entry * Provide, uid, uidnumber, gidnumber and home dir information. ex. schetty, 501, 501, /home/schetty On your Linux client (all my clients/workstations are FC6) * Run authconfig-tui (or system-config-authentication). Enter the your server name/ip, base suffix * Configure auto.master and auto.home * Make sure you are able to mount your remote homes via nfs/autofs * Run getent passwd to make sure your client can get user info from your LDAP.
