I suspect that you're using slow, 7200 RPM drives in RAID-5 or RAID-6,
and you're IO bound. Equallogic arrays are notably slow. Easy to use,
cheap, and sloooow ("fast, good, cheap, choose two" as the saying go).

What is your drive/RAID configuration? Is the iSCSI link 1GigE or 10
GigE?
