However, this isn't encouraging:
$ file /usr/lib64/firefox/firefox

$ ./summarise_stat.pl /usr/lib64/firefox/firefox
1 100.0% use 32-bit stat() family interfaces only
sooo if my perl script is to be believed, it may be problematic, depending on how serious a stat() failure is.
