The problem we're seeing here is indicative of a potentially larger problem than this particular error path. An inode is being unlinked and inactivated, but we aren't finding on the list where we expect it to be. Killing the error return doesn't eliminate the larger problem. So while changes could end up being made in this area as part of a fix, I would not suggest making any changes beyond those designed to help debug until we have a better idea of root cause.
