Just found out about this whole thing (currently on fedora core 1) and
it was a real shocker!

A simple search of our mailing lists will show that this has been hashed and re-hashed too many times already. There is no interest in revisiting what is now ancient history, that, by and large, has been reported on in a rather one-sided, self-serving way.
