Dear Sir,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

We found in the system -date 6-1-2002 which now changed to 12-3-2006. This system was working fine for last 2 years without any change. One week back we faced this problem.

In /etc/X11,  we found the following files which is attached in this mail.

   Files- XF86Config, XF86Config-4, XF86Config-4.old.

After changing the date, reboot the system and  log flie in /var/log/XFree86.0.log is attached again.

During booting , we do not find the NVIDIA logo now which we generally see on the monitor earlier when there was no problem.

After booting , system is not going  to GUI mode, it cones to  command login mode after giving the message- INIT:Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes. This message repeats after some interval. As a result xhost: unable to open display "-----".

Login is okay but startx is not running.

Kindly help us in this regard.

   Thanks with regards,

S.N.Ray
