I have attached two files which may help you:1.) xtest-new-bug --- a copy/paste of my konsole screen showing the complaint 2.) xtest ----------- the old xfree86-4.3.0 version of the xtest file that works
The file "drakconf.real" is a perl script & MCC is a gui version of drakconf present on my Mandrake 9.2 linux distribution.
I am a retired printer who is darn glad he followed your installation instructions & made backups of my old XFree86 installation.
I suspect the old version of xtest was probably modified by Mandrake because it is quite a bit smaller than your new xtest file. --- Please let me know if it is ok to continue using the old xtest file or if you want me to send you more info.
Thank you ----Stan Senuta (Rochester,NY)
