   This seems to be a bug in some Red Hat versions where, for
reasons noone has yet explained, some crucial XFree86 modules
get deleted.  The only known solution is to reinstall the
package that contains the libpcidata.a module.  Or, I suppose
you could copy it from another machine that has the module.
It goes in:
  /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libpcidata.a
