   Nevermind, I saw the one from a later post.
I don't see anything wrong with the server output.  It reports
a correctly working server at 800x600 in depth 8.  I don't
really understand your description of the problem.  Perhaps
you'd rather be running in depth 16?  You can change the
DefaultDepth in the config file to 16.  At depth 8 there are
only 256 colors available, too few to make most modern desktops
look good.
