Hello,
I'm running SuSe 9.2 on a Gateway E-4300. The mobo has onboard 915G
graphics, and a sister board with a second video port. Technically this
is only one video card, which is exactly what the probe finds, therefore
multihead monitor settings aren't permitted. The second monitor works,
but it's just a clone of the first.
I try adding a second card manually, and the setting is accepted, but
the second monitor remains a clone display whether I set multihead to
classic, xinerama, whatever.
I thought XFree86 4.5.0 might help, but installation failed. Please
see log attached.
Any ideas how to get the multi-display working? Will XFree86 4.5.0
help? If so, any ideas on why installation failed?
