Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop that has the I845G card under 4.4.0 dri worked nicely. Im still using the i830 kernel drm module With 4.5.0 i have the following in my xfree86.log (II) I810(0): Allocated 64 kB for the scratch buffer at 0x7fea000 drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is 8, (OK) drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is 8, (OK) drmOpenByBusid: Searching for BusID pci:0000:00:02.0 drmOpenDevice: node name is /dev/dri/card0 drmOpenDevice: open result is 8, (OK) drmOpenByBusid: drmOpenMinor returns 8 drmOpenByBusid: drmGetBusid reports then upto /dev/dri/card14 of which no other cards are found. then i get (II) I810(0): [drm] drmOpen failed (EE) I810(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI. Since the card was indeed found and everything looks great how is it the drm/dri failed?
