You may have a memory corruption issue. signal 4 is SIGILL  which means illegal instruction. Can you explain how and when this happens?  Need to know if it is at the the same spot every time.

Just a suggestion you are running  fairly old Xfree 4.2..0 why not upgrade to a later version 4.4.0 or 4.3.0
