Hi, I've compaq presario machine with monitor compaq 7500. I am trying to install red hat linux 8 on my dual boot machine. On kernel booting while starting xserver it's giving following error "I cannot start Xserver. It's likely that it's not setup correctly" While i manually start startx from prompt. Message is " Fatal server error no screens found" XIO : fatal io error 104 (connection reset by peer ] on xserver ":0.0" Screens found but none have a usable configuration.
