I am attempting to set up a Suse 8.1 linux system on a dual processor pentuim pro machine.  I have a Elsa Gloria-XL video card and a Compaq MV920 monitor.  When I start x-windows I get the top half of the KDE splash screen.  The "animated" bar across the bottom is blank.   Shortly thereafter the screen goes black.  I feel like I am very close to getting this thing to work.  This is my XF86Config file (which I have obvoiusly edited):

I think the problem has something to do with the "QObject::connect:" messages written to the screen when KDE attempts to start.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
