Hi - I'm a newbie to the Linux world & I've just successfully installed Debian Linux on an Alpha Server 1000A. Now I'm trying to get the X windows going and all I get a many blue dots & a white squiggly line. Here are the specs: video card: S3 Trio32/64 monitor: COMPAQ P1220, max rez. 2048/1536, hoz. 30-130, vert. 50-160 Please go easy on me as I'm new to Linux (DEC OpenVMS for 20 years), but can someone help me on this? How do I configure the video to work correctly?
