Hello, all I have Dell Latitude LM P-133ST laptop with 24 mb of RAM and NeoMagic NM2070 (MagiGraph128, I guess) with 896 kB of videoram. I installed Mandrake 8.2 (with cutom build kernel 2.4.19) onto it. I had tried XFree86 which came with that distro (of course, 4.x version). I had downloaded latest version form XFree86.org (by that time it was 4.30). After that I found 4.1 sources on one of my CD's, compiled them and tried to use them. Nothing helped. Here's description of the problem: X does start, and doesn't complain about any errors in log, neomagic driver detects everythig if being given BusID (it detects several instances: PCI 0:2:0 and lots of PCI 11:xx:??, where xx varyes for about 10 different values), but the screen looks garbled, and the image is duplicated two or four times (e.g. it is shrinked vertically and takes top half of the screen; bottom half of the screen duplicates top half. Also some colors are often either mistmatched or turn white at all). Modes used were 640x480x8 and 16bpp and 800x600x8bpp. The most interesting thing is that when I changed XFree86 to v3.3 (from old RedHat 5.2) it worked perfectly.
