   At least in the case of the G400 (which I wrote drivers for a
very long time ago), the second head didn't have the hardware to
do direct color.  If that's still the case with the G550, you'll
only get direct color visuals in single head mode, or maybe in
dual-head, separate screens mode if the driver is advanced enough,
but it should be impossible with a single desktop spanning two
heads.
