Remove or comment out the following line: > Option "dpms" 2. Remove or comment out the Modes line in this section: > Subsection "Display" > Depth 24 > Modes "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480" > EndSubsection 3. Install a newer version of XFree86 (or even RedHat or SuSE). As written by others: the 845G isn't (well) supported before 4.3.0.
