At this point my knowledge runs out. I've never had to configure a KDE system. I use X on a very small embedded system so don't have the space for KDE. This link http://developer.kde.org/documentation/books/kde-2.0-development/ch01lev1sec 5.html is to the KDE website which tell you how to install KDE.
