Hi,
I am trying to run on a IBM Aptiva E6C.  I ran XFree86 -configure and got a
resonable looking XF86Config.new file.  When I run "XFree86 -xf86config
./XF86Config.new" the machine usually locks up solid -- not even caps lock
works -- and of course, I do not even get a /var/log/XFree86.?.log file.
The chipset on the motherboard is ATI Rage Pro Turbo AGP2X with 8Mb RAM.
Previous versions of XFree86 also lock up.  It is not every time.  One out
of 20 tries I may even get kde running.
The OS is FreeBSD 5.2.1

Any Ideas?
TomV
